Not As Good As......
from Dallas, Texas,  Oct 7, 2009

Book is ok, no blockbuster. Quite frankly I was disapointed after enjoying immensely Dan Brown's previous books. Just did not have the same "Wow" factor as his other books.

This book was interesting.
from Atlanta, Ga.,  Dec 6, 2011

This guy Dan Brown leaves a lot to wonder as to the imagination. I had to read when I was really perky and maybe bored, with a lot of time to just pass. I'm not sure if I will be reading many more books written by Dan Brown, I guess I'll have to wait to see what else

Good sequel to Da Vinci Code
from Phila, PA,  Jan 17, 2010

It's tough to followup a novel like Da Vinci Code, one of the biggest sellers ever, but Dan Brown has done a very good job with this one. These novels are really a story within a story--one a suspenseful piece of fiction, the other an historical education on the origins of Christianity and Masonic symbolism. How many Americans know about all the Masonic symbolism in the buildings of Washington and the Masonic connection of many of our Founding fathers? Probably as many as those who know about the Templar Knights and Mary Magdeline. That figure to the right of Jesus in Da Vinci's Last Supper sure does look like a woman to me--how did I miss that 20 years ago when I was in Milan and saw the painting (it was dark and I was a good distance away). I have to wonder what else we'll discover in Brown's next effort.

I really enjoyed the book and would recomend it to anyone. This is only the second book that I have read from the pen of Dan Brown. He did a good job on this one. The Overstock price was also very good.

An Epic Thriller!
from Chicago, IL,  Nov 10, 2009

I have been a fan of Dan Brown's work since The Da Vinci Code and I was eager to pick up the sequel. I could not put this book down, it consumed every spare minute I had. I found myself reading until way after dawn. I checked the book out at the library and I'm already over 300 pages in and I went on Overstock tonight and bought my own copy, as well as the prequel to DVC, Angels and Demons. I'm anxious to get both books so I can read the trilogy in order. Robert Langdon is probably one of my favorite literary characters and I love how Brown is able to both educate and entertain the reader with his historical and geological facts, wrapped up in murder, mystery and intrigue.

I just don't get it
 from Brooklyn, N.Y.,  Nov 8, 2009

I have nothing against Dan Brown. I just finished reading The Lost Symbol last night and have been dying to finish it for the last 150+ pages already. All that kept running through my mind was that it was based on pure baloney. When I read Davinci I liked it because it raised a number of interesting questions and the premises made some sense. For example a main feature is the idea that Jesus was married. It does make sense because He was Jewish and also a Rabbi and if one goes back to those times one would know that the normal marrying age for males like him was about 18. So to believe he was still single when he "emerged" at about the age of 30 makes little sense. The book was better than the movie simply because the great actor Tom Hanks and great director Ron Howard made mistakes. Simply that Hanks was being too pedantic throughout the movie explaining every step in detail and why. After a while one felt like maybe I should go read the book (again?) This time the book dragged and felt like Tom Hanks was reading it. So it goes.

Perfect
from New Braunfels, Texas,  Oct 20, 2009

Not a scratch, a tear or bent. It was in perfect condition. However, It cost a little more with even the low shipping cost than it would to buy it in a book store. All in all I am content with my purchase.
