Wonderful adaptation of the books. Bought all three in the series as "take home gifts" for the three boys coming to my daughter's 12th birthday party. She had introduced the boys to the movies and now all of them are obsessed.

I got this dvd to supplement the vhs recordings of the same movie(s). One of my favorites of all time for the trilogy, both in literature and cinema. Excellent!!!

I bought this for my wife to replace an original copy that would no longer play due to wear and tear. She has watched this movie (and the others in the series) over and over...to the point where she undoubtedly knows much of the script. Since she is a true movie buff, this must mean that "The Fellowship of the Ring" is an excellent movie, if you are drawn to that genre.
