This is one of the best, if not the best book I have ever read; it is a very exciting book and above all glorifies Christ!
This is a must read! You will experience every emotion through this trying tale of faith in the midst of unimaginable suffering. You will question humanity-- how people could become so evil and yet, how people could emulate such goodness. The first 60 pages introduces you to the amazing individuals who bring strength to this woman's life. They read slow, but carry much wisdom in their pages. After reaching this point in the book, it will not leave your fingers until the last page is turned.
I enjoyed this book because it was very insightful and life-changing. I bought it for all of my grown children. Miss Ten Boom gives us an intimate view of her family before the war, while she was involved in hiding Jews and after she was incarcerated and sent to 3 different prisons. The wonderful and amazing part was her attitude about her extreme circumstances. I saw her change and grow through her faith in Christ and dependance on Him and how she and her sister shared their faith with others. It is uplifting, human, and touching without being preachy.
