The Help is one of the most satisfying reads in a long long time. The novel is both sad, and at the same time, very funny. I just saw the movie last weekend four times, but the book is needed to fill in some of the blanks. I hope that on Friday, January 13, 2012, when the Acadamy Award nominations are given out, I hope that The Help is nominated for best original source.

this is an easy to read and hold book. I would not reccommend it if you have seen the movie already because it is almost exact. I will have to wait for a bit before I can read it because I just watched the movie 2 days before getting book.

i'm not finished but so far i like it. i havent' laughed hilaruiously but i wasn't raised in the south and i'm sure they appreciate it more. i would not let anybody else raise my babies. those white people were ignorant. spoiled rotton i think. but i guess it was their status in life to be like that.
