I've always wanted to be someone who knew all the great quotes in this movie so I watched it three times last week. The FFCoppola discussion in the second audio was also interesting. Whenever I'd seen it before I had trouble keeping all the characters straight and matching names to faces... I have a much better appreciation for the movie now. I do wish they added in the scene where Michael shoots Fabrizio in the pizza restaurant - not part of the original movie but a great scene.

If you grew up during the latter half of the last century, you probably saw the original "Godfather" on TV that was edited for content and cropped for commercials. This restored version is astounding in its scope. The iconic scenes that everyone knows now look like they have been polished to a high gloss. The legendary performances of Brando and Pacino are brought sharply into focus, and the age-old story of a son protecting his father and becoming the very thing his father never wished him to be ... the violence is still shocking and painfully real, but the quinessential characters rise above the dated dialog and the outmoded special effects. "The Godfather" is not a perfect movie by no means, but watching it again in its shiny new package just brings the masterpiece closer.
