great book
from Bethlehem PA,  Sep 5, 2010

the first 50 or so pages were a little tough to get through in my opinion, but after that the story really picked up and eventually the first parts of the book began to make sense. Although i was a little disappointed with the ending, i thought the book was a fantastic story and couldn't put it down!!!

This is definitely one of the best books I have ever read! All 3 Stieg Larsson books are phenomenal!

Girl with Dragon Tattoo
from Quincy, IL,  Oct 17, 2010

Good book so far - haven't finished it yet. It was delivered in timely fashion, though not in time to take with me for reading on a recent trip. Enjoying it, however, and would recomment it as a good read.

It was a good price, but I also found that I could have purchased this at the same price locally. The biggest problem was that it took way too long. It was 2 1/2 weeks before I received the book. I could have purchased this book in a store and read it by then. Usually with Overstock things have come in within a few days.I was VERY disappointed with the timing.

Best Trilogy Ever
from Bakersfield, CA,  Jul 25, 2010

I had to go back to the first book in the trilogy to remember how Stieg Larsson's story began. As expected, the second reading was even better than the first, and I could not put it down. The main character is a weird, lovable, dangerous, and super intelligent woman/girl. have read the next 2 books, and believe me, you will love them too. Begin with "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo." I am very sorry that Larsson died, because he was a master storyteller...

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
from Woburn, MA,  Jun 4, 2010

Great book, I almost cheated and read the ending. As soon as I finished, I went out to buy the next one in the series. I loved that one too, although it was kind of confusing with keeping track of all the characters. I think the first one was the best, and I also will be purchasing the last one soon, The Girl who kicked the hornet's nest. I am sad he died, and won't be writing any more books. He is an awesome writer, who really draws you into the characters. You won't be disapointed if you buy the series, take it on vacation with you, you won't put them down!

Highly recommend it
from Houston, TX,  Apr 21, 2010

I knew when I read the synopsis of this book I would want to read the whole trilogy back to back. So I deliberately waited until the last book is almost out. I LOVE this book. Very interesting, keeps your attention and draws you in. I have not wanted to put it down and have stayed up several nights reading it. It is a long book but worth it. I have the second book ready to go and will just have to wait till the third is released. I have plans to give it to my sister when I am done to read.

Loved the book, the story keeps moving and leads you along. Finished it rather quickly and had to wait for the second in the trilogy. Fantastic.

Very Clever
 from Arizona,  Mar 20, 2010

I loved this book. At first it was difficult to read due to what I call the "Swedish-ism's". However, once I got used to reading those, I could not put this book down. The author's style is unique in the sense of weaving story lines together. I couldn't wait to buy his other two books - had to get them! I am also looking forward to the movie.

Skip This One
from Olympia, WA,  Mar 18, 2010

This was a really odd book. There were 2 stories running basically throughout the book. One was fairly clever, the other entirely dull. Unfortunately the first 100 pages are devoted to the dull one... it takes way to long for this book to get interesting. And the last 50 pages are devoted to boredom as well. Also, annoying is the fact that one of the main characters (who is repetedly described as basically an anorexic freak) is some how inexplicably seducing every man she meets... huh??? Very weird story... Spend your money on something else!

It's been a while since I've been pulled into a story that I couldn't wait to finish reading...I hated having to put the book down. It is smartly written and draws you in.
