I bought this cookbook because I have PCOS with accompanying insulin resistance, and some of my friends recommended trying a low GI diet. The information in the book is helpful and easy to read, but I found the recipe choices to be very limited. I was looking for a lot more variety, especially with the main dishes. If you really like seafood, stews and spicy foods you'll probably be happy. With two young children, I need a cookbook that features family-friendly meals and I just didn't find enough of them.
