The follow-up to Batman Begins, The Dark Knight reunites director Christopher Nolan and star Christian Bale, who reprises the role of Batman/Bruce Wayne in his continuing war on crime. With the help of Lt. Jim Gordon and District Attorney Harvey Dent, Batman sets out to destroy organized crime in Gotham for good. The triumvirate proves effective, but soon find themselves prey to a rising criminal mastermind known as The Joker, who thrusts Gotham into anarchy and forces Batman closer to crossing the fine line between hero and vigilante. Heath Ledger stars as archvillain The Joker, and Aaron Eckhart plays Dent. Maggie Gyllenhaal joins the cast as Rachel Dawes. It's Batman
This has got to be THE definitive Batman movie. Ledger played such an outstanding role as the Joker. While Christian Bale has a tendency to gurgle some of his lines through the role of Batman, the film in it's entirety holds up.

Excellent Product, Great Deal
I purchased this (actually pre-ordered it, which was very convenient so i didn't have to run to the store hoping i would find it somewhere) for my boy friend for christmas. It came very shortly after batman was released on DVD and Blu ray. Also, it has been the cheapest I have seen the Blu Ray version available for (even after shipping). It came in perfect condition and my boy friend has already watched it several times and it works perfect!
