Wouldn't it boost your confidence to have an experienced and confident crocheter on call, day and night, offering assistance when needed? Most of us aren't fortunate enough to have that kind of aid, but now there is help available 24/7 with The Crochet Answer Book.

Being a "good" crocheter is not about making perfectly stitched, elaborate, artful creations. It is rather a matter of confidence. You need to be confident in what you are doing and in how to figure out what to do if things aren't going quite right. Understanding why you do certain things and why they turn out the way they do increases confidence and leads to successful crocheting.

This book answers some of the most common questions crocheters have, and anticipates some questions you didn't know you had. The Crochet Answer Book will lead you down the road to gaining the confidence that makes for good crocheting.

  • Tons of Info

I first picked this book up at the library and found it so helpful I had to buy myself a copy. I'm an experienced knitter but only recently learned how to crochet. This book covers everything from how to start your crochet stitches, to each of the major stitches (with excellent how-to descriptions and sketches), to reading patterns and advanced stitches. This will be a great reference book for beginner and intermediate levels. It also has reference material at the back of the book which is very helpful such as crochet abbreviations and crochet terms and descriptions. The book is small in size (about 6" x 4") but has 300+ pages of info in an easy-to-read format. It also has a good index in the back for finding specific topics faster.

  • Crochet Answer Book Review

This is a handy book, but doesn't cover EVERY question that I've had.. guess some of those answers must come from experience. I agree with another review that said it was too bad there was no index in the book - it would be a very useful addition. It's handy to have none-the-less and I've kept it in my bag of crochet that I'm working on so it's available when I need to access information. I'd like to have seen a chart in the book that shows the multiples of chains required to start any given stitch pattern... along with the page number where the stitch pattern is described in detail. There are plenty of extra pages in the book where you can jot down your own notes too. Handy size and useful for beginners, but won't address many issues that more experienced users may have about crochet.

  • The Crochet Answer Book - Handy!

This is the most used book in my collection. It is small enough to go in my travel crochet bag, but full of info. It is easy to find an answer to any questions you have about crocheting, terms, stiches, etc. A must have for any crocheter.

This is a great book for BEGINNERS. As a very experienced crocheter, though, I found it contained everything I already knew about crocheting. But, I would definitely recommend it to people who would classify themselves as "beginners."
