No flashy special effects, just good stories
from Alexandria, VA,  Jun 6, 2011

Still haven't watched all of the (so I hope all the DVDs work properly). As others have said, it's great when the good guys win over the evil sheriff & prince. It may not be history, but definitely fun to watch & of course, sing along with the theme song. Enjoy!

  • Did the description onsite accurately describe the product? yes
  • How is the quality of the product? The DVDs are made from old b&w TV shows, so it's as good as can be expected

Robin Hood DVD series
from Seattle, WA,  Jan 11, 2011

Excellent television series. Why don't they make them like this anymore? Simple and straightforward plot lines, sword fights, archery, contests of skill and strength, romance without the sexual overtones - the series is just GOOD!! 143 episodes, written and broadcast back when advertising was less obnoxious, so each episode is close to 28 minutes long!! We love it - even though we aren't through all of the episodes yet! And it was a great price, delivered with no shipping charge, right on time.

DVD set
from Van Nuys, CA,  Jan 5, 2011

I will have to return one of the DVDs as it does not play properly. I haven't gone through all 11 discs, so I don't know about the remaining ones.

I haven't quite finished viewing all of the episodes, there are many, but so far I've enjoyed what I have seen so far. Well worth obtaining this DVD box set.

Great Memories
from Sacramento Delta,  Dec 28, 2009

For us old folks, this really brings back memories. I'm sure it's a little cheesy for some of the youngsters, but it's how series were done back it the 60's. With out killing the plot, I can tell you Robin always wins, and the sheriff always loses. It's all in black and white, and over 140 weekly half hour episodes. Yup! Robin is still riding through the glen, with his merry men.......
