A great multi-generational saga...
This is the best book I've ever read. Both informative and entertaining, it's one of those stories you hate to see end - a great multi-generational saga with lots of historical and scientific facts thrown in. The characters and events are unforgetable. You'll find yourself thinking of them long after you've turned the last page. Although its length seems a little intimidating at first, the story is so good the pages fly by. The chapters are small enough to make for a good bed-time read. James Michner at his best. Highly recommend.
