  I've been reading the Tarot for over 20 years for myself and friends. Have read several books on the Tarot as well. Self- taught I guess is the word. Originally read this book from the local library and knew I had to own it. The author is excellent with knowledge and wit. I also like the fact that she does not use reversals when reading. On a personal level they never seemed to "fit" in with my readings. She also explains the cards in a sense that one is able to look at the card and know the meaning instead of trying to memorize every nuance from the book as to the card's meanings. She also brings to notice the dominate factors of a reading such as many cups will prevail over another suit or if a reading has many 1's, etc. what that means to a reading. My other books never touched on these nuances. Along with my new Rider-Waite deck that I purchased, to go with this book, my readings now are much more enjoyable and accurate. This is a keeper............Simplistic yet relevan...

  I ordered these because I was really drawn to the blue-green color in the picture. The runes I received are a very dark green, almost black. I have no idea what bloodstone is supposed to look like but I was disappointed that the color was not like the picture.

  For the tarot collector or the Vertigo fan, this reissue is a welcome opportunity to obtain an artifact. The product, however, falls short. The stock is very thin and the cards themselves appear to have been punched out of a ceral box rather than die-cut. There are little points of paper at the medians of all four sides that should have been buffed off. Appreciating the images on the cards requires familiarity with the Vertigo series of graphic novels and its pantheon of characters. Note to Vertigo fans: the cards are illustrated with clever and beautiful photographic collages by Dave McKean. The cards do NOT feature illustrations from the comics. This deck is dark. Not just in mood, the printing is dark. The book, by tarot author Rachel Pollack, is entertaining, relevant and informative but difficult to read. It is set in the smallest possible type yet there is plenty of whtie space on each page; the text could have been much larger. The monochrome images of the cards in the book are...

  Received the cards on time, I was very excited to do a reading, however it is not like a Tarrot, these cards you can compare to a cute little game, the artwork on them is beautiful, the descriptions are clearly written so that you understand every card you pick, however if you expect to get a reading, you will not. I would say these cards are good for young girls to play with and have fun with. Daily game of will it be a good day or not is about all it can tell you.

  Easy reading but very basic. Further discussion by arthur of book would have made it better. Tarot Cards were nice.
