Pieces of Eight by Styx...what can one say to convince the non-follower of the band...or discourage those of us who were avid listeners back when this was first released? The music flows, sometimes powerful and yet has a light and airy quaity about it. Though Styx was not a major player in any sort of political statement music, anyone knowing the heart of the late 70s to early 80s certainly will find the culture and politics of the time reflected in the songs on this album. Not for everyone maybe....but listening fun for most!
