This DVD is the perfect balance of information and entertainment. It is great for those who are interested in learning more about the rich history of gospel music or as a basic orientation to further study. A few (as with any historical rendition) interpretations of lyrical origins presented could be academically challenged but accurate enough for the layperson. I have used it with youth choirs, bible study groups and as a primer for a black history dialogue. The price was resonable. I would have loved a better deal but definitely worth what I spent.
