Excellent movie. If you like Tom Selleck you should love this. For me, the movie was better than the book.

We have enjoyed Tom Selleck in this series and wish he would make more!

This film is definately NOT one of Tom's best....too much nasty stuff...... Selleck is truly a major talent but this movie focuses on a washed up character with no sense of honor,not where a "hero" like Selleck belongs. Too much drinking which is just not necessary to the story line. Too much emphasis on situations dealing with se_. The nudity is totally uncalled for. Try again, Mr. Selleck--perhaps another good western like "Crossfire Trail"?

This is one of those movies you watch over and over again without becoming bored with it. Tom Selleck does such a wonderful job with the character, you start to believe he actually is the Sheriff in a small New England town. Not only that, but the entire cast makes you feel like you are watching a real mystery unfold like a real crime drama.
