i really tried to like this film. I saw it when it first came out and did not get into it. Watched recently and still not enjoy it. Very, very slow story.

Jeff Bridges is believable and amazing in his performance in this title role. He teams up with Karen Allen in an "out of this world" love story, that is enjoyable and can be watched many times! Love this movie!

Great Science Fiction idea. Well acted, and the movie moves along well. Makes you like the good guys, and hate the bad guys. You can almost beleive this could happen.

Starman was one of the best "quiet" films of the 1980s. People who saw the film remember it fondly. Jeff Bridges (Academy Award nomination) and Karen Allen have as much chemistry as Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan, Pierce Brosnan and Rene Russo, or Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr. The "message" is not lost on the filmgoer today. Modest special effects keep the story within a human frame. A lovely, timeless movie!

I just love this movie.......leaves you with a good feeling.
