Although for kids, many of the stories have a sophistication reminicent of the original series.

WOW this is amazing, great for any trekkie. itt really follows along the story line and you get to seen parts of the ship that you would not seen in live action. i ove the tribbles episode... it was great to see another story line for those crazy little tribbles

After the short run of the original series. The animated adventures aired for just one season 1973-74. It captured the essence of what star trek was all about. Great for all ages. Live long and prosper.

Star Trek fans have been waiting for this to come to DVD for some time now, and I for one was not disapointed. The overall quality of this DVD set is fantastic. These shows originally aired on Saturday morning TV but they are definetly not just for children. I can not believe that some of these episodes were allowed to be aired at all on 1970's Saturday morning Television, but thankfully they were. Each show is very well written by some of the writers of the original 60's TV show as well as other Sci-Fi writers. The original cast performs the voices for each of their respected characters, as well as new ones. The animation is very good considering that this show aired in 1974! The packaging case that this set comes in is very nice as well. Overall this is one of the finest DVD sets to come out in a long while. A must have for the Star Trek or Sci-Fi enthusiast or fans of animation. AAAA++++
