OK so far
I was half expecting to receive the version that comes in a race-car-shaped collector's tin, since that was the picture I saw the first time I checked it out. Later, when I bought it, the picture was an image of a newspaper, which gave me pause. What I got was the complete series in a standard plastic DVD box (which may actually be better for the long-term protection of the discs than the cardboard sleeves that come in the collector's tin!) So far so good in watching them, but I'm only on the first disc.
- How did the image on site compare with the actual product? Not even close; the first time I looked at it the image was of the collector's racecar shaped tin; the next time it was a picture of the NYTimes newspaper!
- How accurate was the on site description of the product? Fairly close to accurate.
- Please tell us about the quality of the product. So far so good; I've watched over half of the first disc and all is well to this point.

THE PRODUCT PICTURED IS NOT WHAT YOU GET!!!
After looking on-line at several web-sites for the special packaging of the Speed Racer boxed set, I decided to buy from Overstock. I already have half the episodes but I wanted the special packaging. I was looking forward to giving my little son the birthday gift of a box of dvds that looked like the Mach V toy he has been playing with and set it apart as something special. I was very disappointed to find I was sent just a regular dvd box. The day has come and gone as has the opportunity to share something from my childhood with my son in a special way with a little wow factor. Thanks for that Overstock. I'll remember you the next time I buy on-line. I'll certainly shop with more reliable sellers in the future.
