I seriously couldn 't put them down. These are the first 7 of the series (right now 9 are published). Loved them so much I ran out and got the other two! Although they are definitely different, if you love True Blood then you will love the books!

My order took a few days more than I'm used to (with overstock.com) to ship, but it arrived in great condition. The only thing I can think of that hasn't already been said is that each individual book within the box set comes with a printed on emblem on the bottom left hand corner of the front cover that says "Now on HBO True Blood, the original series based on the Sookie Stackhouse novels." It's an inch and a half in diameter and a very eye catching red. It doesn't bother me, but I can imagine that some people buy the box sets as 'collectors items' and I wouldn't want the cover to have that on it if I was a collector. The books are a perfect size for my purse! That's always a plus.

I bought this because I was told it was an adult version of twilight (which I am a big fan). It is no twilight, but I still enjoy the story line. It is not a book for young readers due to some of the content. The only thing about this box set I don't like is the print is small. Other than that I am overall satisfied with my purchase, and am going to buy the first season of True Blood the HBO series on DVD.

I can't begin to say how much I love these books. After finishing the Twilight series, I was dying to get my hands on more vampire books. This series is a mix between thriller, scifi, erotic, and mystery. So much fun to read! I've never been in to supernatural science fiction, but these books hooked me with the hysterical characters, witty writing, and steamy love scenes! When I watch the HBO series, I can't believe how much better the books are. So different from the show! I'm really starting to think that I'm addicted to these books. My husband can't wait for me to finish the last book so he can have my attention again!

I'm a big fan of the series and read books one through eight. This set was purchased as a gift and so far they are enjoying it. The price is great saw it at the bookstore for over $50 glad that I was able to purchase it on Overstock the prices here are still by far the best deal around.

I picked up the first book in this series from the Library. I wasn't sure about it because I thought nothing could top Twilight...and as a huge Twilight fan, I must say, THIS is the adult version of Twilight! It has in it what I knew Twilight was lacking....blood lust, adult themes, adult action...The first book in the series sort of drug out for me but that didn't stop me from reading the second. I have 3 kids 2,3 and 4 and after I get all of them to bed and clean the house, I'm reading until I'm sleep deprived!Sookie is a very real character, she's not too far fetched from the average mid-twenties woman (which I am myself) and the love between her and Bill isn't over the top either...it's normal as it can get given he's a vampire. It's a believable story line! I have shared my new found love of this series with my other friends who are also Twilighters and they enjoy the more adult themes in this series as well.This is a box set to have! I would definately recommend this to any Overstock.com purchaser to add to their collection!

Got this as a stocking stuffer for my 23 y/o neice who is a TRUE BLOOD superfan. She loved it !!! She can read the books until the next season. Enjoy Kymara.

This series was hilarious and a little scary. Great mix of supernatural with normal daily life. I loved it and can't wait to finish the series. I'm purchasing the set as a birthday gift for my friend.

I've only read the first of the series and it's very intertaining, i'm looking forward to reading the rest. I love the fact that 2 days after it was available the books were at my door.
