Best Blu-Ray Player

kiriana23 from Oviedo, FL, Mar 11, 2010

I did my research before investing in getting a full blown PS3 as my blu-ray player, and still to date, this is the best blu-ray player you can get. The fact it connects to the internet, keeps the blu-ray software up to date, guarantees you'll have the best movie watching experience. It's also the most reliable player you can get, since the PS3's design is one of a power house. I recommend spending the extra money to get something you know you'll be able to depend on. The only con being that it doesn't come with a regular remote. But you can pick one up for a good price on ******** anyway. As far as game play, my only complaint is that it's not backwards compatible, but they don't make any models that are any more anyway. But other than those minor things, I recommend it. It'll serve you well for a long time.

Awesome

justjay from Claremont, CA, Dec 24, 2009

It has enough space for Pictures, Videos, and Music you would need for any occasion. It stays cooler than the 80 GB Version. No need for an external cooler for this one. It's also slim and sleek, as advertised.

Playstation 3

gamer256 from Simi Valley, CA, Dec 21, 2009

Graphics are outstanding and the interface via HDMI was very easy and quick to get the system up and running. Using the internal browser to access the internet was a plus however there seems to be a browser problem trying to access AT&T's yahoo email. Wireless connection flawless and stable enough from the downstairs family room to the upstairs computer room. Overall I'm very pleased. Oh, I also tried reading regular DVD's without any issues. Great picture with both types. Will next try to read a HD DVD since we bought the competing technology before Blueray won the battle. Lastly, this model will not read playstation 2 discs. Format not supported, so I'll have to keep both systems connected so that the older games we invested in are still playable.
