Altoist Sonny Fortune (also heard here on soprano and flute) recorded three albums for Atlantic from 1976-78, but none are all that exciting. On this date, the emphasis is on funkier sounds during originals by either keyboardist Larry Willis or Fortune. Although there are a few decent solos (this was an early effort for trumpeter Tom Browne), it is doubtful that anyone will be calling Atlantic demanding that they reissue this commercial LP`s music on CD. ~ Scott Yanow
