I love this book
I am a beginner at sewing, so based on my experience level I can say that this book has been great. I have enjoyed making the projects and using the patterns that the book comes with. Aside from the patterns that are included with the book there are additional projects that the reader could engage in that do not require patterns...the book does seem to have projects for someone with experience as well, but I guess this depends on the skill level. Overall, this book is great, easy to follow through and very friendly and clear in its explanations.

Excellent for Beginners
Love love love this book! The last time I used a sewing machine was 1987 in 7th grade Home Ec class; therefore, I consider myself a beginner. So far, I've completed 4 projects from the book; three projects where I made my own pattern (per the instructions) and one where I used one of Diana's patterns. Instructions were easy to follow and understand.Not only is this a fun and positive book (lots of encouragement), but it's also full of basic (and then some!) reference information. If you're working on a project and a question arises, you will more than likely find the answer in the book. I've yet to go online to do any searches for further instructions than what Diana details in her book.I recall another review said the tone of the book makes you feel like you can call Diana up and ask questions. Very true! Her fun personality and passion for sewing comes through in the writing.Very happy with my purchase (and the price!).

Best book for beginers
I am new to sewing, and this book has been a real gem! I love the way she breaks it all down and makes it so simple. She even teaches how to make your own patterns, I feel like I can sew anything now! Bonus, the book comes with patterns too!!!

Great Book!!!!!!
This book is so great for a beginners or for anyone so needs a refresher course on sewing. Diana give you so much detail and tips but she do not fell overwhelmed. I love this book and I love that you get 10 patterns plus 38 designs. This book has truly help me to understand the techinque of sewing better.

cute! cute!
I must own a good 25 sewing books. I bought this one for a girlfriend for her (21st) birthday and she fell in love with it. I had to come back for my own (I'm 31). Very cute book. It has a good little variety of projects in it from wearable, decor, & baby. I showed the book to my mother-in-law (50+ years old), and she loved it. This book is cute for all ages and all skill levels. I even like it better than my Amy Butler & Built by Wendy books.
