Seventeen, 10 issues for 1 year

I purchased this as a gift for my 14 year old daughter. SEVENTEEN sure has changed since I used to read it. It's so much more vibrant and fun. Admittedly, I'm the first to read the issue when it comes in the mail. I love looking at all the cute style and make-up tips for the younger girls. It helps keep me in the loop of what is popular with girls my daughter's age. I was afraid it may be a little "old" for a 14 year old; however, I've found the articles, advice and fashions very tasteful and appropriate. I can't say that my daughter is as excited about the magazine, but I expect that to change as she matures just a bit more. There are articles about relationships and sex, but they are appropriate for the audience. Each issue seems to have at least one "free" giveaway item. A couple of months ago it was a free lip gloss from Victoria's Secret (just take your magazine there to prove you are entitled). This is a bonus for everyone, girls get a beauty item and parents don't have to pay for it.
