I rated this one star for entertainment, because it is not meant to be entertaining. The information in this book is rock solid. If you wish to consider it, it is a very helpful book.

If you know someone who is from an alcoholic family, this is the book for them. It is a valuable tool for understanding the behaviors associated with people who live with alcoholics and the impact an alcoholic has on the family. It explains in details specific dysfunctional behaviors, how to identify if you and/or other family members have them, and what you can do to change those behaviors. It is not a "blame the alcoholic" kind of book. It is definitely an educational look at the disease and an empowering read of things YOU can do to cope and change YOURSELF if you are an adult child.

This book was recommended by a counselor who is helping us connect with our ADULT children. It teaches ways to stay in a conversation and allow them to be open and honest, as well as ourselves to remain calm and supportive, even when we may not be in agreement! Many other valuables tools in the book to help with all ages and with different types of human relationships.

I purchased this coloring book for an adult as a stress relieving fun activity. Her daughter was as enthusiastic about the gift as the recipient. The pages are large and the designs interesting. Printing is on one side so there is no bleeding of colors from the back. I wish I'd ordered more for holiday gifts, maybe one for myself.

My 8 year old son watches a lot of these Japanese made cartoons. In many of these cartoons, it shows them mediating or speaking about mediation . He came and asked if he could mediate. I, myself, had tried mediated in the past, but I was never able to concentrate to do it. My son was a different story, he borrowed this CD from my sister and immediately was hypnotized by Brian Weiss' voice. He had a wonderful experience in his hypnotic stage. After this, I purchased this CD for him, so now he can do it on his own whenever he wants. I believe it so much easier for a child to go under, than an adult who has never mediated before, because a child's mind, I feel, is much easier to clear than and adults. But, that won't stop me from keep trying it myself!

A beautiful story for anyone, adult or child who has experienced the loss of a beloved pet. As a breeder of Miniature Dachshunds, this book has special meaning. I recommend it to any of my clients who have recently lost their Dachshund especially if they have children who are having a hard time dealing with the loss. I also have this offered in my Everything Dachshund Shop & it is a great seller. I highly recommend this book to any family grieving the loss of their beloved pet.

Someone gave me a copy of this book several years after my 18-year-old (and only) son was killed in an accident. Out of a dozen or so grief books I've read, this is one of two I constantly recommend to others and use in a support group for bereaved parents that I facilitate. The author writes so poignantly and so "real" - and it is easy to relate your own feelings of grief and loss to his. I recently purchased two copies to give to coworkers who lost adult children and the book has been of great value to them.

The Butterfly Effect As a book review blogger for Book Sneeze I received a complimentary book called The Butterfly Effect. How your life matters written by Andy Andrews. I am not sure if I am jealous or angered at how you can take one page of uplifting inspirations and turn it into an entire book. I did enjoy the story of the Butterfly and it's wings. The graphics are outstanding. It is and would be a nice gift for someone who needs constant positive energy reenforcement. This 6 1/2' X 6 1/2' sized book with 110 pages in it is basically a book of inspirational lines. It is the adult version of the children's book The boy who changed the world. It is a nice gift basket addition to any Civil War buff. Would I recommend it ..depends on the purpose of it's use. I was basically disappointed in it. I guess I expected more even though it does make you stop and think if only for a few seconds.

This is my all time favorite book. I'm not a teenager either. I'm mid twentys and I read the original release of this book when I was young, loved it, and lost it. I bought the re-release and it is still amazing. It's a wonder story, by my favorite author of today. It's inspiring. Wondeful. Beautifuly writen, verging on chilling. . If you are looking at this book, and considering buying it for a teen, or young adult, it's a wonderful book, and does not have any suggestive themes, or too much fighting blood or gore. It hits a little on some shawdowy figure, but it's not too over the top. I would completely recommend this book, for yourself or a teen. it's just amazing, I can't stress that ENOUGH! I have re-read this book two-three times a year since i bought it again about three years ago. It will really get you thinking, and multiple parts of this book will give you goose bumps!

Normally restrained decorators tend to let loose when decorating toddler bedrooms. After all, the color and pattern palette of kids' furniture and bedroom decor tends to be far more diverse than those for adult bedrooms. You can begin with a few large pieces of kids' furniture, such as a toddler bed, kid dresser and storage shelving. Add a theme or a palette and work from there or just add some simple textiles and wall art for a few decorative accents.
