I thought this was one of the most fascinating and well written books I have read so far. I liked the twilight series, but as coming from the same author, I thought this was by far more well written. It was engaging, well thought out and kept your attention at all times. Having the point of view from the soul, rather then the human was very interesting also.

My teenage son wanted this and received this as an easter present. He had been searching for the first book not knowing it was a series. He loved it. Has gotten at least 4 other kids to read at least the first book.

The mummy is found to have unusual markings & soon members of the excavation party turn up dead. He teams up with a young reporter whom he met at the mummy unwrapping. Newbury is also trying to track down a rogue agent for the Queen. While Newbury investigates the mummy mystery & looks for the missing agent, Miss Hobbes is investi...

Read the first book in high school, reread it as an adult. Liked it then, love it now! Such a good read, can't wait to start Ender's Shadow and the others!
