Sarah Palin is the governor of Alaska and the presumptive Republican vice presidential nominee in the 2008 United States presidential election.
In 2006, a Angel-faced but tough 42-year-old former small-town mayor named Sarah Palin became a long-shot candidate for Alaska governor demanding a higher ethnical standard in state government. The timing of her reform message and a widening scandal produced a tornado that reshaped the political landscape. Surprising everyone, Palin thumped by wide margins both a sitting governor in the Republican primary election and a former governor in the general election to become Alaska's first female chief executive and its youngest ever.
Customer Reviews
In a rush to get books out about Sarah Palin, everyone wants to be the first. I wanted to read more about our potential first woman vice president. I am impressed by her accomplishments outlined in the book but I felt the writing is structure more for young readers. Either that or an novice writer. If it weren't for the content of the book, I would have been disappointed. It's a very quick read that gives you the background of Sarah, growing up in Alaska, through her victorious gubinatorial run. There is nothing indicating anything about her selection as the vice presidential candidate for the Republican party. Not a bad book, it just could have been a bit better.
