Belle is a paranormal investigator and Rome a sexy-hot operative who we were first introduced to in Gena Showalter?s Playing With Fire. They both work for the same group and they are back living the fabulous life with Belle planning their wedding. That is when she?s not accidentally starting fires, tripping over scary through and desperately working on controlling her superpowers. But when Rome returns from his last mission with no memory of Belle, is the wedding off or is this a momentary pause in the action? Then there is Rome?s ex-wife the unscrupulous Lexis who is at her manipulative best using Rome?s memory loss to try and lure him back and convince Rome that they belong together. Can Belle make Rome remember her, the passion and lust filled days and night and have him fall in love with her again? Rome is trying and something is pulling him toward Belle with such intensity that he knows memory loss or not there is nothing that will keep him away from her no matter how much he tries. But the twist in all this is not just Lexis but a strange, mysterious man who is fascinated by the memories of Belle he stole from Rome and is now determined to have Belle for himself. What an amazing book! Total page turner that you will not be able to put down so make sure you have enough time to read non-stop. You have the paranormal super-couple of Rome and Belle, mystery in the background and passion winning out over all forces trying to hold it back. Be sure you look up Ms. Showalter?s other series, The Lords of the Underworld with more uber-possessive, sexy alpha males than you can handle! Muy caliente!

My only complain is that the shipping was super slow I ordered several things online that day and received a notification that they would be shipped separately. I did not think anything of it but the books arrived almost a full two weeks after the rest of my order.

This is a reprint of a Harlequin Temptation 11 from 1984. It's in there new special limited edition of famous authors first books written for Harlquin. I am a big Sandra Brown fan of her current thriller/romance books. As a first effort I think the book was good and showed the promise of the work she would be doing later. It is about a woman who is somewhat impulsive in character who meets a very disaplined take over type guy in a Japanese floral arranging class. It starts kind of slow for me. Later it evolves when a blackmail plot is reveailed. And by the last couple of chapters you are throughly involved in solving who it is and why. The final chapters find the heroin is in full charge after all. In the begining and until about half way or more through I had a problem with the domoneering male role, but it resolves it's self as well.

I bought the book but fall asleep too quickly when reading and this book takes a long time to get started. I gave the book to a friend but because of all the hype about the book I decided I should try the audio. The woman's voice reading it is very annoying but now that I am on disc 13 of 16 I am glad I didn't give up on it. It's super nice to be able to speed through parts. Listening to it makes my commute much more interesting.

I'm not sure what all the hype is about this book. The first 100 pages are super dull. Maybe if you're really old you will understand the movie references... otherwise they're just annoying. The middle of the story is interesting. Corny ending. I'd buy something else if I were you. The weird part (to me atleast) was that the childs story seemed really engaging and readable, but when the author switches to the adults viewpoint she just looses her skill. Disappointing.
