  • Dungeon Command - Blood of Gruumsh Review

    May 5, 2013

    kaywindheartsbane  from Atlanta, GA, Rating:5.0

Let me start off by saying that you won't find Dungeon Command in Target, Walmart, or even Toys R Us. The most likely reason for this is that the game is simply new and not a lot of people know about it (the first two sets were released back in 2012). There are now a total of 5 factions available. There are a total of 12 creatures in this set and they are very detailed compared to many miniature toys. The set itself has enough for 2 players to play against each other, but this is considered a quick match. A full match requires two separate sets or factions for each player. The game itself is very fun; it's a combination of Dungeons And Dragons and Magic The Gathering without the dice so player creativity, quick thinking, and skills are emphasized. At its current price, this is a must have for beginners and veterans!

  • Core Rule book D&D Pathfinder

    Aug 24, 2012

I had ordered this book elsewhere as a gift, but after 2 months of waiting I cancelled the order, and ordered from Overstock. Much better experience, I had the books in my hot little hands in less than a week, and I saved $25!!! there were some minor cosmetic issues on the corners of the books, but hey, I saved alot of money by not getting them at my local game store, so I didn't even bat an eye at some dings on the cover. I received the first book I ordered three days after I placed this order, I returned that one and did my business with a far better company, I won in the longrun, just wish I had come here first!! Now I will.

  • Lords of Waterdeep

    Aug 13, 2012

    mike989  from Milwaukee, WI, Rating:5.0

I will go so far to say that Lords of Waterdeep is the most enjoyable Eurostyle game that I have played in a very very long time. Lords of Waterdeep is a Eurostyle game (worker placement specifically) for people who aren't fans of Euros in that it is a very quick to teach and play, has actual player interaction elements (the Intrigue cards), and has elements of luck in the quests drawn, the intrigue cards drawn, and the building tiles that show up throughout the game. Heavy spreadsheet non interaction, non random element fans need not apply. The core spaces of this game will always be the same as they are spaces on the board provided. Which helps make the game quite easy to teach. Each player is one of the Lords of Waterdeep and has hidden agendas (normally a focus on two of the four quest types) that can help them dramatically in end game scoring. In the beginning of the game, each player is given two starting quests that require one or more of the five resource types (represented ...
