This rechargeable, retractable grip adds the feel and comfort of a full size controller to your DS Lite. The rechargeable battery allows hours of extended game play after your DS Lite battery runs out of power. This complimentary accessory extends horizontally to adapt to the width of your Nintendo DS Lite, securing it while giving the user complete comfort and control during use.
To operate, insert the DS Lite unit into the grip opening, securing it to the fasteners. To power the DS Lite, slide and hold the switch forward on the back of the grip, pull the charging cable to its fullest extent, connect it to the unit and turn the power switch on. Located under the grip are two buttons, which will lengthen the width of the grip. Once finished, disconnect the cable from the unit and simply push the switch forward and the cord retracts right back into its compartment. To recharge the grip, insert a DS Lite charging cable into the cable slot (right by the retractable cable) and charge for 2 hours.

This item may not look like much, but incredibly enough it works great! I got the grip adapter originally for my husband who has tendinitis in his wrists but likes his DS too much to not play it. I liked it so much I got one for myself. The grip is smooth and fits well in my hands plus it's adjustable for personal preference. As an even greater bonus it holds an extra 4-6 hours of battery charge for the DS for those extra long trips.
