It's a nice size journal. Easy to carry in my purse. Pages are a thick parchment which makes for smooth note taking. My only issue is when I want to tear pages out- the book isn't designed for that- several pages become unglued. I try to be neat and concise as I take notes now so I'm less likely to want to tear out pages. It's a good buy if you want a small, good looking item for note taking.

The actual color of the journal I received is much darker than the picture, but that doesn't really detract from how pretty it is. The cover is very soft and well-made. It's designed like the cover of a hardcover book--it slips off so that you can put it on a new book when you finish filling up this one. The paper itself is very thick and off-white. There are about 72 sheets by my count. All in all, it's a very nice little journal.
