The versions from the original artists are a lot better than hers. Her singing is missing that "something special" in it. For this type of music, I'll listen to Dinah Washington or Sarah Vaughan.

This was a great surprise. I knew that Queen Latifah could sing, but this goes beyond that. She has a beautiful voice. You will enjoy this CD.

This is an excellent cd. Heard most of the songs performed live prior to purchasing the cd. There is no reason why anyone should not like this follow up project. Forget the name of the artist and focus on the recordings. If the artist was unknow everyone would be in line to purchase this work of art. It is like going to a party or restaurant and eating something different. One would say this is great as long as they do not know what they were eating. Add a name and everything changes. Forget about it. Ms Owens displays a variety of range, originiality and deivates from the norm by adding her own spin to several of the cuts. Everyone enjoyed the live performance I attended. Forget her past recording history. Do not associate her name with this work. Grow!!!!!!! I did with the "Dana Owens Album." Try it, you may like it.

Light and airy, I love her voice. "Poetry Man" is one of my all time favorite songs and her version is wonderful. Think I'll listen to it again right now.

Latifah has an absolutely beautiful voice. This is a great compilation of songs which highly compliment her extreme talent! Beutiful!

One of several true artists, it not easy going from Hip-Hop to Jazz/Easy Listening and still be appreciated. Young people interested in the music area can see that true talent can go across the board.
