This book is very serious and enlightening. It is so real but yet so eye-opening. The only thing is the grammar is on a different level! There is a movie coming out really soon called PRECIOUS, it is based on this book.

this book came brand new, I really enjoyed reading it, there is a movie based on it coming out and I wanted to read the book to compare it to the movie. I look forward more to seeing the movie after having read the book, it is a powerful book. the movie that is based on it is Precious! i am excited!
Very good read kinda hard to understand the misspelled words but it was a good book.
The book arrived in great condition and I dove into it right away (and finished within the same day since such a small novel). I had a little trouble reading it initially due to the main character's dialect but eventually was able to follow along fine. I have to admit that character's descriptions of abuse were very graphic and extremely disturbing for me; however the verbage was true to the character and was appropriate for the story. I would only recommend this book to someone who is able to tolerate the intense content that deals with child abuse and molestation. I gave a 3 star rating because the content was a bit heavy for me and I had trouble dealing with the jarring images described in the book.
