  I am upgrading from VB6 to .net and this book provides the information that I need. I have not yet read the whole book, but so far I am very pleased with the pace and precision of the writing. This book describes the Visual Studio user interface and gives enough basic examples that it would make a good first book, yet it also leads the reader deep enough into the concepts and language that it is also helpful to a skilled VB programmer as a review of the enhancements of the newer language. This book removed my fears of having to leave the comfort of VB6 and tred into the .net world of today.

  This book take the worry out of tackling the new updates. It is written in plain language so you can easily understand and put to use right away. They start your using, not just learning right away and you progress faster than you think. Great book, Great Authors, and I recommend it!
