kevin costner is not one of my favorite actors but in this movie he really shines,It may be because he is working with the one of best and most versatile actors alive Robert Duval. The story is excellent it has all you would want from a great western. Annette Benning is a fine actress and she is still beautiful.
Costner does it again. This film has it all: Intense thrills, sweeping cinematography, meaningful dialog (some lost on the deleted scenes), and a bit of humor. Set in the "last days of the cattle drives," Robert Duvall & Costner are brilliant. The casting is well rounded. This film rates high on my TOP 10 WESTERNS of all time.
