Cameron Crowe's affectionate documentary PEARL JAM TWENTY details the tumultuous history, and pre-history, of one of the most iconic grunge bands to emerge from the fertile Seattle music scene of the late '80s. Culled from hundreds of hours of private footage, as well as from extensive interviews with band members Eddie Vedder, Jeff Ament, Mike McCreedy, and Stone Gossard, the movie begins by explaining the forces that turned Seattle into such a musical hotbed, and then discusses the death of Andy Wood, the lead singer of Mother Love Bone and how that tragedy led to the formation of Pearl Jam. The film covers the group's quick rise to the top of the rock world, the tensions that developed in the band, and their memorable attempts to battle Ticketmaster over their inflated prices. PEARL JAM TWENTY played at the 2011 Toronto International Film Festival.

    • Pearl Jam 20 video

My hubby is a huge PJ fan & loved this video! He's already watched it multiple times. I was glad that the movie/documentary didn't glamorous the rock star life or emphasize the 'party lifestyle', etc. Personally, I would have liked to have gone more in-depth as far as getting to know the band members. Overall thought they did a good job in giving a 'behind the scenes' look at the band, how they came together, how songs were created, and gave their general perspective on things.
