  • Great solution if you're ready to start sleeping!

    Oct 23, 2014

    HappyMom  from Provo, UT, Rating:5.0

This was a great read - not only the content is extremely helpful but the style and tone was easy to read and well written. I was at the end of my rope with a colicky baby who just wouldn't sleep at night. It has practical tips and advice for all types, and we saw immediate results! It takes effort on your part but if you are that point I was, it is worth taking a step back before making leaps forward. Highly recommend this solution.

Teens Stacey and Calvin are high school sweethearts dealing with some very serious problems, anorexia and the death of a sibling. Calvin’s older brother died in Afghanistan and Stacey is hiding a life-threatening secret of her own. Stacey helps Calvin to deal with the death of his beloved brother. As time goes on Calvin realizes Stacey has a problem and try’s to help her. He is understanding, compassionate, sensitive and tries not make things worst. Farmer boy as Stacey’s BFF calls him is a great boyfriend and would be any girls dream. I found this book to be intense and heartbreaking at times. It was very informative about anorexia. The characters were well thought out, real, like any teen you might meet on the street or the kid next door. I found their pain to be real, they were emotional and had me take a hard look at someone I care about that suffers from anorexia. The author Diana L. Shaples gave great insight into the life an anorexia and the worry it causes those that care ...

This is a cute way to reinforce potty training but it was a bit too far off the subject to be effective for my stubborn 2 1/2 year old grandson. He loved the pirate story but did not really relate it to using his own potty. He did better with a very simple book on the subject. Once he is asking to use his potty perhaps we can revisit to reinforce with the included pirate hat and stickers.

  • Cute stories, but need some grammatical help!

    Aug 17, 2014

    lissa22  from Gilroy CA, Rating:4.0

These books are very charming and my almost five year old daughter loves them, however the grammar is really awful. I know the author is trying to convey the speaking ability of a small child, but most young kids including my daughter use much better grammar than the main character, Junie B. We just substitute proper English when reading and the stories are great and a quick read.

As a 59 year old and having lived my life 'before computers' and 'since computers' I speak from experience. Human contact and spending time with family and friends in person seems to be a thing of the past since so many just connect via social networks. Put down the gadgets people and make contact with another human being in person.
