It's not made by Sony so you have to use a USB adapter in the PS3 for the remote to work. The buttons aren't easy to use either. For $10 more you can get the Sony PS3 remote. That's what I will be doing soon.

spend the extra money and get a real sony playstation remote control / it will have the correct buttons to reflect the correct controlling of the dvd's or blu-rays that you watch / this one only works some of the features but not the needed features that make a remote control useful / simply put... as my title of this article suggests: this item is useless
