Developed by Irrational Games, the minds behind Freedom Force, System Shock 2, the SWAT series and Tribes Vengeance. BioShock is a first-person shooter in concept but crosses over to action, adventure and RPG genres. The game takes place in an underwater civilization called Rapture, a utopia that`s gone awry in the late 1940s, and was created by the unbending visionary of Andrew Ryan, who might just have a little hint of SHODAN in him.



Mixing a spine-chilling setting illustrated with art deco art and architecture, sci-fi themes of bio-genetic mutation, RPG elements enabling you to modify yourself and your weapons, and a deep storyline with first-person action, BioShock pays homage to its predecessors by creating an unnerving atmosphere and compelling storyline.
