Wraith of the Lich King is a pretty good RPG style game in World of Warcraft, but I think parental controls must be followed for younger players.Wraith of the Lich King is an expansion of World of Warcraft Burning Crusade, which is also an expansion of the original World of Warcraft series. Basically you will need World of Warcraft installed before installing Burning Crusade and Wraith of the Lich King.In the game, you have the ability to play as a character, you have a choice of what race, gender and class your character is. Depending on what race you choose, you become either a member of the Allies, or the Horde. Once you choose a race and class of character, you enter the game and must complete various quests to gain experience and money to build up your character, much like a normal RPG.Any age of player can play this game, it is quite easy to learn what keys control what action. However, because there is an open chat in the game, this may require parental supervision for younger players. The chat has no filter that can block out things such as phone numbers, addresses (postal mail and email), and chat text that may not be sutible for the younger players such as swear words, and other words like that.I have created one character of each race in the game, and they are all different classes, the races available are: [ALLIES] Human, Gnome, Night Elf,, Dwarf and Draenei )must have Burning Crusade for the Draenei race.)for the [HORDE} Orc, Undead, Tauren, Troll and Blood Elf (must have Burning Crusade for the Blood Elf race.)Each character can be amost any class, humans can not be Druids, however, and there are some other races with class limitations.. The common Classes for both Alliance and Horde are: Warrior, Paladin, Rogue, Hunter, Shaman, Mage, Warlock, Priest and Druid. Each class has it's advantages as well as disadvantages, for instance, Mage, Warlock and Priest classes , they rely on their ability to casdo not use any sort of hand melee weapon, they rely on their abilities to use such things as arcane magics to deal damage and mend others. The Warrior and Rogue classes do not have the ability to heal themselves or others during battle. Hunters can use firearms such as guns at early levels, , Rogues have the ability to use a weapon in each hand during battle. Druids use a staff for melee attacks and can heal themselves and others during battles, Mages basically do damage with their spell casting, Warlocks mostly use curses, DOT (Damage Over Time) type spells, and can be more easily called Necromancers with thier ability to summon the Undead to do their bidding, Warriors are basically the big tanks in the game, they get the best armor, and usually the best weapons for melee attacks. So, if you like to get into things, and do damage directly, become a warrior, paladin or hunter class, if you like to sit back and act as backup, become a paladin, mage, warlock, priest or druid class and simply have fun in the game. One bad thing about World of Warcraft games, is that it is played online at Blizzard.com's Battlenet, which does require a monthly fee to play on, after a 10 day free trial offered with each World of Warcraft game for you and a friend, for now. This game has both it's pluses, and minuses, the graphics are wonderful, gameplay is easy to learn and use, and overall, the players I have met online are quite nice and helpful. Game support is also quite good, I have been very impresses with the support team in regards to this game.So overall, I give this game a solid 4 out of 5 stars, gameplay is easy and interesting as well as very good graphics, the chat system is easy to use as well, but once again, I suggest that younger players either play with parental supervision, or the parents should enable the parental controls of the game. Price of the game is very good for what you get and the support offered by Blizzard, and the Battlenet.I personally found the Blizzard/Battlenet account creation easy, but using the accounts was a bit confusing, that is for myself, but a quick message to Blizzard Support solved the problem. I strongly suggest this game for anyone who loves adventure and Roll Playing Games.
