The soundtrack to the Gwyneth Paltrow and Tim McGraw country music drama Country Strong is a collection of mainstream contemporary country that has a mild pop bent but stays just this side of country-pop. Instead, it follows the blueprint of its star, McGraw, and the early work of his wife Faith Hill, delivering a collection of crisp, clean, and melodic country where the Hank Williams, Jr. cameo is used as rowdy flavoring. If Paltrow never quite sounds convincing as a country singer -- she seems just a little to mannered to be "Country Strong" -- Gossip Girl Leighton Meester pulls off the sweet "Words I Couldn`t Say" with ease, and the rest of the soundtrack is handed over to professionals like Hill, Lee Ann Womack, Patty Loveless, and Sara Evans, whose "A Little Bit Strong" provides a strong first single. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine

Music great, case came cracked
The music is great and cd is in great condition however the case came in an unusable, cracked condition and had to be replaced. That should have been noted in the sale. If it was about shipping, then it should have been protected and bubble wrapped. I have shipped and know what is fragile and needs protection. I kept it because I can replace a case. However, it doesn't get 5 stars because of that. Love the music as I knew I would because I have heard it before and that's why I bought the cd.

- How accurate was the on site description of the product? Not accurate if the case was cracked.

A must have music soundtrack.
When I saw the movie "Country Strong" the first thing I thought was I have to have this soundtrack. When I found the cd on O at such a good price I bought it right away. It got to me faster than I hoped and I am so happy to be able to listen to the music. I listen to it constantly. Thank you O.
