Customer Reviews
This music touches the soul. There is a line in one of the later songs that makes the whole album worth listening to..."To love another person is to touch the Face of God!" It's powerful music! I totally recommend it, even if you haven't seen the play!

Wow! This is not your average concert. The producers brought the original cast together backed by a 200+ member chorus. Magnificent voices, wonderful performances, and of course those haunting lyrics. Get comfortable in your favorite chair or sofa, turn the lights off, and keep the hankies close. Travel to a time of great suffering and even greater courage. A must own for all who saw the play.

This is a replacement CD, to one that was misplaced. My husband and I sing all the songs and NEVER tire of listening to it. We also have the DVD which we watch every few months. The story is timeless, moving and the music is beautiful. The words tell it all. I will caution parents, it is not a story for children. The story starts during the French Revolution and continues for over 30 years.

This is by far the best cast for Les Miserables. Lea Salonga (voice of Princess Jasmin in Disney's Aladdin) is simply wonderful as Eponine. Colm Wilkinson is powerful as Jean Valjean and Jenny Galloway and Ruthie Henshall are my favorites of all time for Madame Thenardier and Fantine. If you are a Les Mis fan, buy this today!
