The Greatest Western Ever Made
 from Hollywood,  Apr 18, 2007

This, the masterpiece of Sergio Leone, Father of the "Spaghetti Western," is more than that--much more: It is the ultimate western and also a great mystery story. With great performances by Charles Bronson as the inigmatic "Harmonica," Jason Robards as the bittersweet outlaw "Cheyenne," Claudia Cardinale as the long-suffering Jill, and of course Henry Fonda in his only VILLIANOUS role (and wow is he ever!) this film has been chosen by many famous directors (Joe Dante, John landis, John Carpenter among others) as THEIR favorite movie--not just Western--of all time. Be warned--it is 3 hours long and you must plan to watch it straight thru. It is worth every moment. ALSO, the 'special features' disk of this special restored edition is full of fascinating documentaries and info. Enjoy! I know you will!

This is simply a classic and my favorite movie of all time! Great music, plot, and action scenes. And the Trans-Continental railroad passed very near here (through RENO, NV)!
