sophie13 from New Palestine, IN, Rating:5.0I should have read the dimensions of this "cube" book. I expected a larger book, but, it is the size of a "cube". My granddaughter loved it. It's easy to carry around in her backpack. Everything about it is great, it's just "small".

paiqy106 from Tuscaloosa, AL, Rating:4.0This is a very thorough and interesting field guide. The drawings and descriptions leave no room for mistakes when you are searching for wild edible plant species. One thing I really enjoy about this book is that with each plant description, there are lists of ways to prepare the plant for consumption. The one thing that I feel is missing from this book is the fact that there aren't any distribution maps of the plants' habitats. The book only describes the plants' distribution in words, which isn't bad really, but not as convenient as a quick glance at a map. The color plate section could have been larger as well. Other than that, it's a good field guide and I've enjoyed perusing it so far.
