Pre-K travel kit
My 3 & 5 year old love the ponies. Counting the 12 books was the first hit. My 5 year old is close to reading, and these are great. We took them on a trip, and even though they had been played with before, they were still popular. They are small, short, and paperback, but that is very popular with the girls. The kids just need to be old enough to not need board books.

Pony Phonics
The books come in a neat cardboard box, but I was disappointed that they are all paperback (there are 10 of them, focusing on sight words and different vowel sounds). I'm not sure these will last long enough to pass down to my other nieces. Still, I'm excited to give this book set as an xmas present. She is about to turn five and, in her words, "like just really into ponies right now." She is already working on a phonics program, and likes me to point to words when I read books to her, so these books with large print and sight words practice will be great!
