My new favorite movie! I can't recommend it highly enough, especially for real film buffs. Everything about it is enjoyable. It's hard to believe that the event at the heart of this enchanting story is an act of terrorism which is handled brilliantly by this director. An old woman (Maggie Smith) gathers the survivors and takes them to her house in Umbria for recuperation. Not a dull moment and it ends much too soon for me. Superb actors keep the interest high and the great Maggie Smith's narration feels personal for this viewer. If only there were more films like this one available!
