  It's great to have a place to go to where you can buy the DVD's without having to sacrifice an arm and a leg! Thank you Overstock all of my limbs are in place! Quality and price can't be beat.

  This 56-minute recital is a total delight from beginning to end. The English songs are varied and lovely and the singing displays feats of virtuoso a capella singing that are a source of wonder. This collection has been a classic for a long time and now I know why!

  This recording of the Mahler Third Symphony emanates from a live, one-take in 1986 with Klaus Tennstedt conducting the London Philharmonic in concert at Royal Albert Hall and it is here released on CD by ICA Classics. Tennstedt established his credentials with a Mahler cycle for EMI but those who have heard both his earlier recording of the Mahler Third and this one prefer this live version. Tennstedt was said to have been on a completely different level artistically when conducting live as opposed to making canned recordings in studio and this recording is electric and spontaneous. The recording, though analogue, is of a high quality. The orchestral playing shows little sign of roughness associated with live performances. The solo singing of Waltraud Meier and the singing of the boys' choir are first rate.

  This CD was just okay, but it was my fault. I like duets, but the song choices just didn't measure up. I listen to it but not frequently
