One of the better Muppet features in recent years, MUPPETS FROM SPACE begins with Gonzo wondering where he came from and then promptly receiving messages from his alien brethren. Though the rest of the Muppet clan believe Gonzo insane, especially after he announces his revelation on Mrs. Piggy's talk show, he arouses the interest of an idiotic government official, which leads to his imprisonment. Kermit reluctantly realizes Gonzo is in trouble and brings his fellow Muppets to try and help him escape. This one features a soundtrack made up of mostly 70s funk and introduces a new Muppet - Pepe the prawn, who gets quite a few laughs here.

I love the music (it's from my time period) and my two year old grandson loves the music and the muppets. Our original copy was "lost" and I could not find it in our local stores. When I found it on Overstock.com I ordered it right away and received my order within 3 days. My grandson was thrilled that "Mama" had found his "shake it down down." P.S. we found the other copy so now we have two just in case.

Growing up, I have very fond memories of having "family time" watching the muppet show. Now, this movie came after Jim Hensons death and that takes away from the original feel of the muppet entertainment. But, With that said, I still think that it's a cute movies for the whole family. My kids liked it a lot. I feel that the early works are much better, but it is still cute non the less.

I would recommend this product to a friend. My whole family enjoyed this DVD, It was a difficult DVD to find and the only place I found it was here at Overstock.
