I am a Dreyfuss fan and a classical music nut, so this was the perfect blend for me. I appreciate the editing on the CD, much better than that on the cassette which deleted many of the "bridging sequences" which would have helped things make much more sense. This is a common problem on most cassettes, so I am gradually converting to CDs only for my favorite films.

My daughter loved it as a pre-teen and still loves it now that she's 20. It never fails to bring a lump to your throat.

Although I have seen this film several times, I decided to buy it for future viewing. I have watched it with my adult children and they loved it too. This is truly a wonderful, heartwarming story and I would recommend it to EVERYONE!!!!!...... for once, a movie without violence and other objectionable content that has a meaningful story behind it. 5 Stars indeed!!!!

Richard Dryfus in his best role ever. A movie that you want to watch over and over.

I saw the movie a few years ago and loved it. Then a few weeks ago it was on one of the movie channels. I tried to locate it locally, Blockbuster, etc. and no one carried it anymore. I went to Overstock.com and there it was! What a heart-warming and excellently acted story. My wife and I are really enjoying having it in our collection.
