Bluray is an "animal onto itself!..it took me a while to play anything and still does but it's SO WORTH IT!...but you must know..IF they do not remaster the original copy, bluray is NOT going to do one damn thing look at the VHS tape already! .Sometimes these big movie companies just release it on Bluray, you buy it thinking...OH it's great picture quality etc..NO NO NO!.....check out the blu ray sites that are dedicated to reviews of each new bluray release, it is free(blu-ray.com) for me, there is nothing that compares to the bluray "Legends of the Fall"! IF you have not seen that movie by now, buy it in bluray..that's an example of remastering at it's best and also these people did it with allot of love..you can see it in the details of the menu used etc... OK BRIDESHEAD...it's a copy of the TV version and I knew that almost all TV versions are not remastered..I did not own it, I had the VHS tapes but gave them to my brother.....like Merchant/Ivory productions, very detailed that they stay in the period...what else could you ask from England..they do the BEST when it comes to period pieces....this bluray gets a 3/5 stars for me cause it's just a copy of the VHS tapes as far as I know & I am not interested in the EXTRAS, that you get..it kind of ruins the movie for me when an actor will says.."OH ,I remember that day..we had a fight and bla bla bla"..not interested and I stopped looking at the extra anything on DVDs...if you have not seen this, you probably can rent it at the library in NYC...or else for this price on 3 DVDs..it's worth owning cause this STORY is SUPERB!...Jeremy Irons is wonderful as is Anthony Andrews...this was released in 1982 , at a time when Gay anything was hard to find in movies...so when this came on PBS, we were GLUED to the TV..but times, they do change!:-) WATCH THSI MOVIE AND LET ME KNOW IF YOU DO!!! Cheers.. Tony(NYC)..I would LOVE to be MOVIE CRITIC FOR OVERSTOCK..hey guys..Tony's here!!

I love Jason...so anything with him in it, I'll buy..it's strange for me at an older age, to get into these kinds of movies but really it is Jason's work and the amount of STUNTS this man does in each of his action movies, THAT IS HIMM doing it 99%of the time...he amazes me Cheers. Tony(NYC)

This movie follows the migration of birds. No high tech machines, except the camera were used and you'll see how it all was done..they fly alongside the birds as they MIGRATE south or north..but just a film that went no where, nobody cared enough I guess..I gave a copy to a friend ,who I worked out in my gym pool cause he's a member up at Central Park and watches the birds...BUT that's WAY TOO early for me to get up...but I do hope it's a good copy, in that everything is still intact in this amazing film Cheers.. I am a huge Tony Scott fan, so I was expecting a lot. Although the film was true to Tony's style, I found it hard to get lost in the movie. Part of the problem was the casting. Travolta and Washington are both great actors but Travolta's "bad boy" persona seemed very forced. Washington seemed a bit too laid back for me. Overall, the movie was satisfying, but didn't offer anything new or different.

Cheers.. TONY(NYC)

I look at movies with Subtitles in the beginning because I want to hear what the writer wrote..it's important to me, so in the beginning, I look at some movies with subtitles...and this movie landed a BOMB right on my head. This movie is really about AIDS in the 80s and it's complex to explain and why so many forums to discuss it..well the subtitles at the VERY beginning, when he says KAPOSI'S SARCOMA or generally known as just KS..the subtitles were INCORRECT and did not even come close. For all you who have not seen the play(that's me) and this incredible movie...the MAIN subject is AIDS in the 80s, so I was really LIVID about that one error..and all because the person doing the subtitles, didn't KNOW about KS,didn't have Gay friends suffering with this..it goes way beyond a subtitle for me, I a person living with AIDS going on 35 years!..so you see how my anger did manifest itself in those two words..BUT BUT if you can take in all that dialogue and there's PLENTY to absorb..no subtitles needed at all..I like them cause I pay homage forsome strange reason, to the writer..without him, there's NOTHING and I respect every word he writes....even DUMBO!..and yes, numerous times I tried to contact the STudio..HBO were the main people..and NO answer.. Cheers.. Tony(NYC)

This is one of the best movies i have seen in my entire life. It has action from start to end, and the plot is quite compelling. The photography and stunts are top notch, and it has some of the best fighting sequences I have ever seen. The one scene on the stairs at the mall is pure cinema genius. One constant scene from bottom to top with NON-STOP action. GENIUS! Tony Jaa should be a household name in this country because of this movie. And although I liked Ong-Bak also, The Protector is much better.
