This complete set comes with fourteen disks of George Carlin's standup routines spaning almost thirty years. Excellent for fans wanting an all day marathon! However, if you do not know about Mr. Carlin, he uses alot of colorful language in his humor, so this product is not suitable for children.

My son loves watching this movie on Netflix so I thought I would order it for him so we have it. =) We can literally watch it like 12 times a day. So having it on dvd would be so much easier.

OK, I know this movie is ancient, from the 70's, the terrifying days of the nuclear arms race against Russia, and good ol' President Ronnie, but it is a great flick. I love the pre-A-Team George Peppard, a hard *ss military man, through and through, leading survivors on a hunt for remains of civiliation. And you have to enjoy the pre-Airwolf Michael-Jan Vincent, a cocky, ex-military never-do-well. You also have a guest star in "Captain Terrell" of Star Trek 2, and for those who watched the Watchmen, a very young Rorschach. Overall this movie elicited a lot of memories from the path 40 years of watching great sci-fi/horror mixes. Definitely recommend for those who enjoy old movies.

If you yearn for some old fashion humor and never saw Phil Silvers as Sgt. Bilko you must see this series. I was just a 9-11 year old child when this show appeared on television so many of the laughs went over my head. But I remember sitting in front our old Philco black and white console TV with my dad who was a WW II vet and watching him roar with laughter. Ten years later after I completed boot camp I better understood the humor of the series. BUT.....you don't need to have served to appreciate and enjoy this program. Bilko is the consummate con man, working his deals (often around how to separate money from his platoon members and fellow master sergeants) and getting into/out of trouble. Surrounding cast is full of characters who were very popular comedians at the time and there are many guest stars who were just beginning their careers like Dick Van Dyke, Alan Alda, etc. It is a stroll down memory lane when comedy was delivered sans sexual innuendo, profanity, etc. (not that isn't an occasionally funny way to deliver a sketch). This show relied entirely on a fast paced delivery from a guy that was always trying to find a way to short-cut the system, and then needing to find a way to get out of the mess he created for himself and his men. I've owned multiple copies of the first season for a number of years (Bilko's ancestor on General George Washington's staff in the Revolutionary War episode is my favorite), as well as the long ago release of the 3 disc general edition overview. But this is the entire 4 season series from back when TV shows consisted of a 24-26 week season, compared to today's short 10-13 or so episode weeks. I've waited a long time for this release especially since its been available in Europe for over a decade (series was always more popular there). My only regret is my dad didn't live long enough to be able to see this come out. I know he would have loved revisiting it again.
